Our story

Hello, I’m Cali Prince — founder of Sunshine Childcare. After more than 20 years of the joy and chaos of raising my own children, I knew I wanted to create something special. Somewhere bright. Somewhere warm. Somewhere full of laughter, paint-splashed aprons and giggly story-times. Somewhere I’d be happy to send my own family.

So in 2024, Sunshine Childcare opened its doors — and it’s been sunshine ever since.

A family setting, run by family

Sunshine is family-run in the truest sense — I work alongside my daughters, who bring fresh ideas, endless energy, and the same passion for early-years care that runs in our family. There’s no rota of strangers here. Just four people who genuinely love what they do, looking after every child like one of our own.

We’re proudly Ofsted-approved, bringing the warmth of family, the patience that comes with two decades of motherhood, and a genuine love for what we do to every day at Sunshine. From play-based EYFS learning to spontaneous sing-songs in the garden, our days are built around what’s best for your child — safe, nurturing, and full of fun.

I started Sunshine because I wanted somewhere I’d be happy to leave my own children. Today, that’s exactly what we offer every family who joins us.
